Gordon S. Johnson, Jr. formed the Brain Injury Law Group in 1996 based upon a decision that he would focus his entire practice in representing personal injury clients who had suffered brain damage. Beginning in 2010, the focus of his practice has become more specialized focusing entirely on the victims of carbon monoxide poisoning.

 

Attorney Johnson has represented more than 100 clients who have survived carbon monoxide poisoning. Of the cases that have resolved the settlements have involved more than 25 clients who recovered $1 million or more for brain damage as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.

 

His ongoing cases include school carbon monoxide poisonings, hotel poisonings and apartment complex poisonings. Attorney Johnson has current carbon monoxide cases in Illinois, both Chicago and downstate Illinois, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Minnesota, Washington, Colorado, and Wisconsin.

 

He is a 1975 graduate of Northwestern University with a BS in Journalism. Attorney Johnson graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1979. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Wisconsin, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming and Michigan.

 

Attorney Johnson is a former chair of the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group, of the American Association of Justice. The Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation group is the leading group of brain damage plaintiff lawyers in the United States.
