James is a seasoned product management professional with a background in finance and corporate strategy, as well as extensive experience in the consumer goods industry. After 7 years at Cree Lighting, where he led product management for LED bulbs, downlights, and smart home solutions, he joined Kidde in October 2021. His passion for developing innovative products and effective business strategies is what has led James to where he’s at today. James now leads Kidde’s North America Product Management team, focusing on Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detection and Suppression products. Additionally, he supports Kidde’s fire, CO, and home safety awareness initiatives to help keep families and communities safe; all while fostering strong relationships between multiple external and internal stakeholders.

 

James holds a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and an MBA from NC State University. He lives in the Raleigh-Durham area with his wife and two young daughters.
